A rare and exciting opportunity now exists for a dynamic, future‑focused Strategic Brand & Marketing Manager to join the Sportsgirl brand.

As a long‑standing leader in Australian youth fashion, Sportsgirl is defined by creativity, inclusivity, authenticity and a deep connection to community. This role will play a pivotal part in amplifying that identity.

The Strategic Brand & Marketing Manager will drive the strategic direction of the brand, leading on integrated marketing initiatives that elevate customer experience, strengthen community partnerships and ensure a bold, cohesive, on‑brand presence. Partnering closely with the Managing Director and key creative and commercial stakeholders, you will influence how Sportsgirl shows up across all channels.

As a highly creative thinker and a confident commercial strategist, you will bring a fresh, entrepreneurial lens to brand building. You thrive in fast‑paced environments and are energised by collaboration with talented people across digital, buying, retail operations and external creative partners. Your purpose‑led mindset and passion for storytelling will help shape a brand that continues to inspire the next generation of Australian women.

You are an authentic, inclusive and energetic leader with deep marketing expertise spanning brand strategy, social and content, creative production, PR and customer insights. You have a strong understanding of the retail environment — ideally within fashion, FMCG, lifestyle or a similarly dynamic sector — and bring the judgement, commercial acumen and adaptability required to lead a multi‑disciplinary creative team. You enjoy bringing clarity from complexity, influencing senior stakeholders and making thoughtful decisions that balance creativity, business objectives and community impact.

A trusted advisor to the Managing Director, you will guide key decision‑making, champion values‑based leadership and ensure Sportsgirl’s tone, brand and voice remain unmistakably distinctive. You are decisive yet diplomatic, deeply collaborative, and committed to fostering a culture of creativity, belonging and high performance within your team.

Beyond day‑to‑day leadership of brand, marketing, content and creative production, you will play a central role in community partnerships and maintaining Sportsgirl’s reputation as a purpose‑driven, people‑first brand. Your contribution will help the organisation operate with greater impact, agility and integrity — delivering meaningful experiences for customers, team members and the communities we support.
