Football NSW is the governing body for football (soccer) across New South Wales and is the largest state sporting organisation in Australia, with more than 250,000 participants and 700 clubs under its remit. The Board meets ten times per year at its Glenwood head office in north‑west Sydney, and in‑person attendance is expected. Directors also attend key events and presentations throughout the year.
A genuine passion for grass roots football is essential. The Board is a proactive, solution oriented group who are motivated by furthering the game. With this appointment, Football NSW is looking to strengthen the Board with skills and experience in:
Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial mindset
An understanding and awareness of sporting administration
Previous Board experience (highly regarded)
Awareness of the complexity and breadth of stakeholders
Legal understanding / expertise will be highly regarded
