Need: The client originally briefed the Watermark Search team to undertake a full Executive Search for this role in their organisation. The search team had previously placed the Chief Operating Officer successfully.
Task: The Search team was tasked with undertaking a fully retained executive search. A shortlist was presented to the client but due to the ever-changing landscape of the organisation they were not comfortable in proceeding at that time with a permanent appointment. Watermark offered them the chance to re-brief the Interim Executive team who would be able to provide a seasoned, experienced executive, available immediately, to slot into the organisation and add value managing the function but also provide expertise in areas of transformation, restructuring and bring about team stability and re-engagement.
Outcome: Watermark provided a shortlist of interim associates within 24 hours of the briefing and a successful interim manager was deployed within 1 week of the brief. It allowed the client some breathing space to determine what the longer term role would look like after the transformation interim phase.
