First Assistant Secretary – Digital Transformation & Delivery Division

The First Assistant Secretary, Digital Transformation and Delivery Division (FAS DTDD) provides vision and leadership in developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the government’s policy and reform agenda and the department’s business strategy and objectives.
As part of the Digital Services executive team, led by the Chief Digital Information Officer, the FAS DTDD role supports the planning and implementation of Budget, government and organisational ICT measures, with a current focus on the Aged Care Transformation Program.
The Division supports the department’s business process owners to improve operational effectiveness, service quality and maximise returns from ICT investments.
Responsibilities include:
Prioritising, planning and managing a portfolio of major information system projects, ensuring effective delivery, coherent information architecture, and maximum return on investment.
Ensuring products, services and technical solutions are user-centred, reliable, and meet the required standards, including for security and data management.
Advise the senior executive of the department on digital design and implementation to deliver government and business outcomes in relation to health, disability and aged care.
Work collaboratively with the Digital Services executive team and departmental policy area to co-design and deliver a strategic approach.
Resource planning, demand management, quality assurance, and release assurance.
Manage workforce and resources within budget allocations to give effect to the above.
