The Department of State Growth is looking for a key member of its leadership team. As Deputy Secretary Transport and Infrastructure, you will play a key role in providing leadership, policy and strategic direction to the Transport and Infrastructure Group, ensuring enhanced capital delivery of infrastructure investment in Tasmania, delivery of integrated solutions across the Group and to systemically improve public sector transport and infrastructure outcomes. As Deputy Secretary, you have a significant role in leading the planning for built infrastructure in Tasmania and the development of forward infrastructure planning to capitalise on our infrastructure assets. 

As an experienced senior leader, you have significant skills and experience in providing leadership, strategic direction, fostering collaboration and authoritative advice relevant to the development and delivery of contemporary transport and infrastructure services for Government. You will have high level experience in building effective relationships, together with a strong ability to communicate with influence and to work collaboratively to achieved desired outcomes.  

Adaptable and pragmatic with demonstrable business acumen, you will be comfortable with demanding timeframes, ambiguity, risk, and change. A down to earth, inspiring and contemporary people leader with the ability to grow and develop others who is a role model every day for the department’s values, strong ethics and integrity.  

Remuneration: The role offers an attractive remuneration package which incorporates a salary ranging from $251,459 to $289,021 per annum, superannuation and either private use of a fully maintained motor vehicle or an allowance in lieu of vehicle.
