Background:
Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS) has been a leading provider of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) in Melbourne for over 25 years. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, ECMS operates 68 early years services across 16 municipalities across greater Melbourne, supporting over 6,000 children and their families. ECMS prides itself on being an early learning specialist focused on fostering lifelong learning and are committed to creating safe and nurturing environments for children.
Key Attributes sought in Non-Executive Directors:
Mix of commercial, government and/or NFP sector skills and experience with an understanding of community development or welfare.
A selection of professional skills encompassing strategy, legal, finance, marketing, human resources, quality, safety, advocacy, risk management and/or property with a practical and pragmatic approach to the delivery of meaningful early years education.
Sound judgement with a good strategic lens and also sensitive to the needs of the young children and their families.
Knowledge of decision-making and governance processes ideally in a community and/or place-based setting.
Brings an open mind set; is a collegial, collaborative and constructive member who is able to make a meaningful contribution at the Board table.
A strong values alignment and empathy for the work of ECMS. An exemplar of integrity, ethics, accountability, professionalism and respectful behaviours.
