How would you describe your job to someone who knew nothing about the Interim Management industry?
I facilitate opportunities for the growing pool of C-Level executives who choose a Portfolio Career.
What inspired you to work in the industry?
Serendipity lead me to be the person asked to start an Interim business in Hong Kong, which lead to the opportunity to replicate that in New York. Without planning to, I realised I enjoyed the role of being the innovator of new products within existing paradigms. I have since set up three Interim businesses in Australia and continue to get a buzz from being first to market or educator of new ways of working.
Who is the most inspiring person you’ve ever met?
My parents inspire me – the older I get the more I value the lessons they have provided me – humility, community, simplicity, faith & family.
What’s the one thing that gets you out of bed in the morning?
Setting a good example to my children.
What’s your biggest career achievement to date?
I grew up in a small country town and couldn’t have dreamt that I would live and work in London, New York, Hong Kong and Melbourne. It’s been great fun, a real privilege and it’s nowhere near finished.
What’s the best thing about working at Watermark?
Being the leader in the growth and development of the Interim market in Australia.
If you never had to work again, how would you spend your time?
I would still come to work – I love the energy I get from what I do!
