Alec Bashinsky:


Alec Bashinsky is a strategic business thinker / innovator and FOW specialist who disrupts traditional Talent/ HR models and aligns people focus to deliver business outcomes.

His expertise is built on demonstrable HR & Business Transformation experience and he has strong change management and leadership execution skills to underpin his successful achievements.

Alec is currently the APAC Partner for the Josh Bersin Academy which is the first global Professional Development Academy for HR. He was also the Managing Partner of Blackhall & Pearl Talent Advisory which focuses on will focused on HR/Culture Transformation, Future of Work, the Talent Experience and Diversity & Inclusion through the facilitation of advanced AI tools and insights.

Prior to this Alec was the Asia Pacific CHRO for Deloitte where he led a team of Talent professionals responsible for 55,000 people in the AP Region, with offices in more than 120 cities in over 20 countries. Alec was also with Deloitte Australia for 12 years as CHRO – National Partner, People & Performance reporting directly to the CEO. He has also been a member of the Deloitte Global Talent Executive for 8yrs.

In his Australian role Alec was responsible for over 6500 employees and a team of over 90 people. His mandate is to drive a Performance Culture and build Leadership capability through establishing Leadership development, Talent Identification, Performance Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Engagement and Shaping the Workforce of the Future as part of innovating the People strategy for Deloitte.

He has significantly realigned the Deloitte HR offering including differentiated and segment Talent, globally optimize Talent practices and Predictive and Analytical Data Integration with the Business functions.

Alec’s previous roles were as CHRO with Deloitte as well as Senior Director Human Resources - Japan & Asia Pacific for Peoplesoft inc. Prior to this, Alec was the Group Manager - Human Resources for Cisco Systems for Australia /New Zealand for 3.5yrs , Asia Pacific HR Manager for 3Com and amongst his other achievements saw him tackle unique challenge of being the HR Director for the market entry of Toys R Us into Australia.

Donna Burr:

Partner, Interim Executive

Donna’s experience and passion for seeing businesses thrive has led her to this role at Watermark; placing senior executives into interim assignment within businesses who can benefit from their vast experience, professional guardianship and deep specialist skills.

Her background combines a career of 25 years in chartered accounting, assurance and advisory and human resources partnering with businesses. Early in her journey, she acquired local and global experience across financial services, manufacturing, utilities and the not-for-profit sectors. She has curiosity, authenticity and a passion for making things better, which has seen her involved in major transformational and performance work for many corporates. She advocates for-purpose-led business management, well-being and economic empowerment for women.

Donna has been a partner in the Watermark Interim Management Practice since 2018, deploying senior level interim executives in both private and public sectors. She has a particular focus on CEOs, CFOs, COOs CIOs, change and turnaround professionals, and senior Finance, HR, Operations, Legal and IT executives. She has successfully completed interim management search assignments across a diverse range of industries including Financial Services, Government agencies, Peak Member and Regulatory bodies, Not-for-Profit, Healthcare, Energy and Utilities.

Jacinta Whelan:

A partner with Watermark Executive Search, Jacinta is an author, thought leader and popular speaker on the concept of Interim Executives, Portfolio Careers and future ways of working. She leads the Melbourne office of Watermark and has over 25 years’ experience starting and leading Interim businesses in Hong Kong, New York and Australia.

Jacinta advises corporates and governments on the Executive Interim marketplace. She is regularly asked to speak to Boards and business leaders looking to stay abreast of the way organisations are engaging executive talent. The future of work has well and truly arrived – it is the NOW of work. The paradigm has shifted in how we engage with work and both individuals and companies are questioning what it means for them.

Caroline has over 25 years commercial experience gained in the UK and Australia working closely with Executive Teams of large corporate International businesses. She has broad experience in human resources, recruitment, cultural transformation and strategic planning in a variety of sectors.

For over sixteen years, Caroline has specialised in Interim Executive placements in Australia and has been responsible for deploying hundreds of senior executives into interim executive roles to transform organisations, bridge experience gaps, manage change and provide expertise.

Caroline is a Senior Partner and leads the Interim Executive team in Sydney. She helped establish the practice over ten years ago and specialises in deploying senior level interim executives into both private and public sectors. Caroline has a particular focus on CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs and change, turnaround professionals. Also specialises in Transformation and Program Directors. Has successfully completed interim executive search assignments across a diverse range of industries and specialises in Government, Not For Profit, Human Services, Infrastructure, Transport, Energy, Utilities, Industrials, Manufacturing, Construction, Property and FMCG.

Caroline is currently completing a Bachelor's Degree, Social Sciences (Psychology) through Swinburne University and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Career Education and Development through RMIT University. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Psychological Society and a Professional Member of the Career Development Association of Australia. Caroline also recently completed an Advanced Professional Development Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology, Sydney.

Lisa has over 20 years’ experience in HR related services specialising in recruitment, career transition and leadership development in both Europe and Australia.

During her career, Lisa has been successful in the management and growth of three start-up recruitment companies, managing teams and clients nationally. She has extensive experience in partnering with business leaders across multiple industries including Banking and Finance, Professional Services, Legal, Media, Telecommunications, FMCG and Retail. A natural relationship builder, Lisa has been a trusted advisor to many organisations experiencing major transformational change working alongside them to find the best solutions for their needs.

In her previous capacity as a coach, Lisa has assisted Senior Executives from a variety of industry sectors and functional roles, transition successfully into a portfolio career. Some of her most recent Interim assignments include CFOs, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Senior HR, Marketing and Operations roles.
