As the leading professional body for the advisory sector, the Advisory Board Centre is dedicated to supporting and enhancing practical engagement in the field. The Rates and Engagement Report 2026 – 2028is the result of the largest global study of its kind to date. Our firsthand experience working with advisory structures around the globe allows us to move beyond the data, providing expert commentary and contextual insights that deepen understanding of the findings.

During this interactive session, we will walk through headline remuneration benchmarks, common fee models and the different ways organisations blend cash, equity and other benefits to attract and retain experienced advisors. We will explore how engagement models are evolving, including ethics challenges and how organisations are adapting governance, scope and expectations in response to more complex risk and growth environments.

Designed for executives, founders, directors, talent leaders and practicing advisors, this briefing will connect the data to real-world decisions: how to set fair and competitive rates, how to design “fit for purpose” advisory roles, and how to align engagement terms with strategic outcomes. Attendees will gain practical insights into global trends, emerging best practices and the questions to ask when establishing or refreshing an advisory board in 2026 and beyond.
