Youth Off The Streets (YOTS) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting young people aged 12–24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and complex disadvantage.
Founded over 30 years ago, this highly regarded organisation delivers integrated, wraparound services across NSW and QLD, including housing, education, wellbeing, youth justice and employment pathways. With a strong community presence and a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach, YOTS focuses on helping young people build stability, capability and long-term independence. YOTS is successfully delivering on its exciting five-year growth strategy, focused on expanding reach and strengthening impact to support more children and young people in need to reach their potential.
The Role
This newly created executive role reflects the organisation’s focus on strengthening impact, practice and evidence to improve outcomes for young people.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Impact & Practice is a key member of the executive team, responsible for setting the direction for impact measurement, practice development and quality of programs and services across the organisation.
You will develop and lead an Impact & Practice strategy spanning research and evaluation, data and insights, practice frameworks, and continuous improvement. A core priority is embedding evidence-informed practice - ensuring data is translated into service design, program improvement and measurable outcomes.
The role will drive organisation-wide frameworks and systems to support consistent, high-quality service delivery, including contributing to the development and implementation of an overarching model of care. You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, providing advice on impact, service quality and innovation, and represent the organisation externally to contribute to sector practice and policy.
This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategy and execution, leading multidisciplinary teams and building a strong culture of learning where data and frontline insights inform continuous improvement.
About You
You are an experienced leader across impact, practice, research or quality within complex, service-led environments. You bring strong capability in evaluation, evidence-based practice and translating data into practical improvements in not-for-profit, community services or education settings.
You have led change and improvement initiatives, strengthening practice frameworks and embedding continuous improvement. You are strategic, analytical and able to connect data, research and service delivery to drive outcomes. You have exceptional influencing and communication skills, with a track record of working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
You operate confidently at an executive level, influencing across stakeholders and designing frameworks that are both rigorous and practical.
You are a values-driven leader who builds trust, develops teams and is motivated by improving outcomes for children and young people.
