TasNetworks is seeking applications for a Non-Executive Director to join the Board who will also become a member of its Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified with strong financial acumen and commercial risk assessment capabilities. Candidates should ideally be located in Tasmania or have a deep understanding of Tasmania’s economic and socio-cultural context to contribute to key strategic direction. Applicants should have governance experience gained through being a Non-Executive Director or ARC committee work preferably backed by AICD or similar qualifications. Experience in government funding processes would be useful, as would an appreciation of the role of the electricity industry, the National Electricity Market and industry transition.

TasNetworks is the primary enabler of the continued development of renewable electricity generation and use in Tasmania. It is expected that applicants will share TasNetworks’ commitment to balanced, sustainable economic growth for the State.
