About the Role

  • Sydney or Melbourne preferred but other locations considered

  • Full-time, 38 hours, hybrid working

The Director of Corporate Services provides strategic commercial and operational leadership of corporate services to NDS.

The main focus of this role will be overseeing financial, commercial, human resources, IT and facilities management as agreed with the CEO.

Working with the Senior Leadership Team to support the annual budget process and quarterly assessments of performance against budget while taking ownership, managing and coordinating the preparation of organisational budgets, forecasts, and financial management including delivery of a revenue growth strategy across the organisation are priorities.

Key will be coordinating critical and consistent internal controls and processes, statutory reporting and auditing, managing risk, audit and compliance initiatives including the maintenance of the organisation’s policy library and risk register ensuring insurances, WHS procedures, privacy and security practices are in place, compliant, up to date and understood by the wider group.

NDS is undergoing a digital transformation and this role will work with SMEs across the business to drive the digital transformation program for the organisation. The role will oversee the Company’s approach to IT infrastructure, facilities management and procurement.

This role will also play a key role in resource allocation to support organisational objectives, in partnership with the CEO and other members of the Executive Team as well as create and drive overall business synergies across NDS ensuring cultural alignment and enterprise wide best practice initiatives are developed and adhered to.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • CPA/Finance qualifications are mandatory.

  • Strong strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of business operations including finance, risk, compliance, governance/audit, IT systems and generating revenue growth through identifying partnership avenues.

  • An excellent track record in planning and directing an organisation's activities to achieve the stated/agreed objectives via effective and efficient resources in the areas of responsibility.

  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through identifying opportunities and building new partnership and alliances whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line cost-management procedures.

  • Experience in running the design and delivery of digital and ICT initiatives.

  • Strong people leadership skills including leading with empathy, sound judgement, adaptability and resilience.

  • Genuine commitment to driving and supporting a positive workplace culture.

  • Experience in successfully leading production of responses to RFPs and RFTs would be desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders (both internal and external) to achieve beneficial outcomes.

  • Focus on continuous improvement to enhance overall efficiencies, effectiveness and reliability.

  • Willing and able to travel nationally as required.
