Brand Tasmania is the first statutory place branding authority to be established in Australia. As a newly established Statutory Authority Brand Tasmania is responsible for taking a contemporary, best practice approach to ensure that Tasmania’s image and reputation is strengthened locally, nationally and internationally, and it is promoted and protected as a key asset of the Tasmanian community.
As the inaugural CEO you will have responsibility for leading the Authority to support the achievement of its objectives and functions; building and maintaining strategic partnerships across government, the community and industry; developing and implementing innovative place branding strategies; and ensuring appropriate and relevant research and evaluation strategies are in place to maximise understanding of how the place brand is performing.
You will develop, manage and evolve the Tasmanian brand, creating greater awareness and desirability for Tasmania as a place in which to live and work, visit, study, invest and trade.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with demonstrated expertise in place branding, strategic leadership and management. As the inaugural CEO you must have the ability to influence public policy, capacity to work collaboratively, encourage creativity, innovation and disruption, manage cross-sectoral projects, and meet the highest contemporary work standards. There is an opportunity to shape the strategic direction, workforce and financial requirements of this new Authority.
