Daniel Nicholls
Daniel brings to Watermark Search a decade of executive search experience in the greater Asian arena. He started his search career in an established search firm in Tokyo and managed and grew their functional search practice for 6 years. During this period he worked across industrial, technology, retail and ecommerce sectors. He then set up a Tokyo-based boutique search firm as one of three founding partners, which currently has coverage in 10 countries.
During this time he consulted for multinationals on assignments from Country Managers through to “first man on the ground” roles. He is adept across industrial, technology and retail verticals on a broad range of sales, technical sales and leadership positions.
He wanted to return to the Antipodes to be closer to his family and roots and Daniel therefore joined Watermark Search. He offers Watermark clients a strong understanding of multinational corporations and the wider Asian market in which Australian businesses are increasingly active.
Daniel is defining himself within Watermark’s industrial, manufacturing and IT&T sectors and continues to successfully complete executive and senior leadership assignments in commercial and financial functions.
Originally from New Zealand, Daniel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Auckland University. He is an accomplished speaker of Japanese.
