Oleh Butchatsky joined Watermark in 1990 after a successful career in the oil industry and human resource consulting. In over 25 years in the professional services sector, he has held leadership roles as Managing Partner, CEO and National Director for prominent consulting firms.
As an executive search practitioner, Oleh’s focus has been on FMCG, industrial, business services and professional services markets, though his breadth of experience has provided exposure to most industry sectors, including government. He has achieved optimal outcomes on numerous CEO/MD, Non-Executive Director and Director level searches both in Australia and in the Asian region.
Oleh has developed true depth of understanding of key organisational development issues and the factors that underpin the commercial success of large organisations. His particular interest in leadership is expressed in the co-authorship of the ground-breaking book “Leadership: Australia’s Top CEOs, Finding Out What Makes Them The Best” (Sarros/Butchatsky, HarperCollins).
Oleh is a registered Psychologist, has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (UNSW) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
