How We Operate
At Watermark Search, we believe that strong boards make better organisations. In conducting searches, we do not simply look for ‘a name’ but for candidates with the right experience and relevant skills to add real value to a board.
We have established a reputation, built up over 20 years of carrying out stringent research and drawing on an extensive network of experienced executives known to us as well as “rising stars”. Our track-record also makes us familiar with the specific and often sensitive challenges involved in appointing non-executive directors and chairmen with the right personal and cultural fit.
The result is an ability to generate diverse short-lists and to consistently find successful candidates who will help boards to perform at their peak.
Search Methodology
We apply the same stringent standards to a non-executive appointment as we do to executive roles.
We are not going to show you a flow chart of our process because every search is different. However, we have the high level in-house research capacity and depth of experience in our partners to be assured of success in this area. We also believe that our role is not completed upon appointment - Watermark will remain in contact with the client and candidate to assist in a smooth induction and to iron out any small problems before they become issues.
Timetable
From initiation to the submission of short-listed candidates typically takes about 6 to 8 weeks.
